When property taxes are due for San Antonio homeowners and where to handle your bill, from official Bexar County sources. Updated July 2026.

Bexar County property taxes are due January 31 and become delinquent February 1, when penalty and interest begin accruing under the Texas Property Tax Code. When January 31 falls on a weekend or holiday, Tax Code §1.06 moves the deadline to the next business day — for the 2026 tax year that is Monday, February 1, 2027, with delinquency on February 2. The Bexar County Tax Assessor-Collector collects for the county and 66 taxing jurisdictions.
