A reunion took place at the Laredo border on Monday. Two young children, ages 6 and 7, were reunited with their mother. These children had been found alone in Mexico.

They were seen by guards at a business, and because they appeared to be in danger, the guards took them to a shelter. This shelter is run by a Mexican institution that protects children and supports families.

The institution activated protection protocols and notified Texas authorities to help with the situation. Further details about the reunion and the circumstances surrounding it are available from the National System for Integral Family Development.
